Summary:
Our client is a leader in beverage manufacturing. The Project Engineering Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership, coordination, and successful execution of all manufacturing-related capital and improvement projects across the organization's production facilities. This role oversees cross-functional project teams, manages project portfolios, and ensures alignment of project execution with the company's strategic and operational goals. The Manager will lead planning, prioritization, and performance tracking for complex, multi-disciplinary projects, and will be accountable for delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, safety, capacity, and quality at a beverage manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic oversight and direction for all manufacturing project activities.
• Lead the Sr. Project Manager and Technical Project Engineer, aligning their efforts to meet business objectives.
• Develop and manage the manufacturing project roadmap in coordination with headquarters, site leadership, operations, and engineering teams.
• Oversee a portfolio of projects including facility expansions, equipment upgrades, utility systems, process improvements, and sustainability initiatives.
• Prioritize projects based on ROI, risk, and alignment with business priorities.
• Review and approve project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource plans.
• Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting safety, quality, and compliance standards.
• Monitor progress across multiple projects and provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
• Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making to remove execution barriers.
• Act as a liaison between manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, quality, EHS, and external vendors/contractors.
• Own and manage the capital projects budget for manufacturing.
• Project cost control, forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Identify and drive cost-saving opportunities in capital and operational expenditures.
• Enforce project governance processes, including risk management, documentation, compliance with OSHA/EPA, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing required); Master's degree and professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, Lean) preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing project management, operations, or engineering, including a minimum of 5+ years in a technical leadership or project management role in beverage industry.
• Proven track record in leading complex capital and improvement projects ($1M-$20M+).
• Strong understanding of beverage manufacturing systems, utilities (e.g., production equipment, RO, boilers, wastewater), and process optimization.
• Proven ability to independently develop project structures, process plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Experience conducting risk analyses and effectively leading project teams to ensure smooth execution and delivery.
• Skilled in preparing regular reports for senior management and maintaining clear documentation of project outcomes.
• Strong track record of using continuous analysis to optimize project performance and improve processes.
• Demonstrated ability to think systemically and approach challenges with flexibility, initiative, and a strong, solution-oriented mindset.
