The School Safety Officer will provide support to the instructional process with specific responsibilities for the safety and welfare of students. Ensuring appropriate policies and procedures are established to monitor visitation by staff, parents and community while on district property, enforcing district, state and federal regulations pertaining to student academic behavior and drug/alcohol prevention. Qualifications Qualifications include: Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card - required. Two years' experience working with youth and adults in an organized setting with School Safety, law enforcement, or security work - required. High School diploma or equivalent - required. Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or similar field of study - preferred. Valid First Aid or CPR Certification - required. School Security Guard SB 1626 Training and Certification - preferred.
