Job Details

Under the direction of the Executive Director of Student Services and Educational Excellence, paraprofessional will travel to various school sites to provide support with behavior intervention and academic skills for students. TYPICAL TASKS: Support students in the general education or specialized program setting. Assist in the implementation of the Individual Education Plan (IEP) for the student(s). May assist with activities of daily living, including eating/feeding, grooming, dressing, use of assistive technology/devices, mobility, toileting, transfers, and positioning. May assist students who have behavioral challenges. Ensure the safety of student(s). Monitor student(s) on field trips in the community. Assist teacher with the preparation of teaching materials. Participate in new training/learning as required with each new situation/assignment. Able to follow a plan with specific interventions and model for other staff members.
