Nature of Work Under general supervision performs legal work of considerable difficulty and complexity such as recording, transcribing, and documenting all types of court proceedings including but not limited to civil, criminal, and probate and processing and distributing documents and papers; performs other related work as assigned. Typical Duties (Illustrative Only)Attends all court hearings and determines, summarizes and records the points and decisions reached in the course of the proceedings. Prepares multiple documents to carry out the judgment of the court. Closes out criminal case files. Prepares and submits Motor Vehicle Department abstracts and DPS disposition reports using computer applications. Takes, transcribes and dockets courtroom dictation, including orders from the court and stipulations and motions from counsel.
