Snow Removal

The purpose of the Snow Removal position is to provide snow removal services both with manual tools as well as motorized vehicles in order to clear guest areas before and after operational hours. Due to the nature of this position, no set or guaranteed hours will be scheduled. A flexible availability is required to respond to duty as needed based on weather and snowfall. Availability to respond within 12 hours of a needed shift is preferred.

Qualifications

Essential Functions:

• Shovel, blow, or otherwise remove snow during and following heavy snowfall around the resort using a variety of tools both manual such as shovels and motorized such as snow blowers or skid steers.
• Follow diagrams and maps directing snow shoveling and removal around the resort spaces.
• Work independently including before and after operational hours accessing, utilizing, and putting away appropriate equipment with little supervision.
• Report any premise hazards to appropriate risk and safety personnel.
• Report any damage or missing items to a supervisor

Education / Training / License(s) / Certification(s) Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must pass a background check

Physical Requirements:

• 100% of the shift is spent standing, walking and completing manual tasks.
• 100% of the shift is spent in inclement weather, specifically low temperatures and snowfall as well as before and after daylight hours.
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, feeling
• Frequent pushing and pulling up to 50lbs
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50lbs

Work Environment:

Early Morning hours, some mornings it will be actively snowing. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working outside in winter weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or winter conditions. While performing this job, the employee primarily works as part of a crew but may also be required to work independently.

Snow Gear/Winter Clothes are a must, one jacket will be issued for the winter season as well as a set of Cramp-Ons
