Nature of Work Under general supervision performs work of considerable difficulty in the management of the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program; performs related work as assigned. This position is funded by the Women, Infants, and Children grant and the Breastfeeding Peer Counseling grant Typical Duties (Illustrative Only)Implements the WIC program to align with and support the strategic plan. Plans, develops, implements, administers, and evaluates the WIC program Assesses community needs and engages community resources to enhance the WIC program. Researches best practices and implements strategies to increase effectiveness of the WIC program. Works with community partners to create innovative solutions Writes grant proposals and develops new funding sources. Prepares and administers program budgets, with administrative oversight.
